Alcatraz E.R. [TOKYO'S PRISON THEMED CAFE]

The Alcatraz E.R is located at Shibuya, Tokyo. It is about 15 minutes away from the station if you use Google Maps to help you get there.

The Alcatraz E.R. can be a little difficult to locate. Its on the 2nd floor of a building that looks really old... dodgey and scary. - Which is why they make things work. I was surprised that they speak excellent English and could even converse sexually with the customers.

The menu was really well designed and interesting, and I must say that the cocktails are the highlight of our experience there.

Here's what we ordered:

1. Russian Roulette Cocktail

Delicious. It has varying degrees of alcohol from one glass to another - remember not to tell your friends and let it roulette!

2. Fried Chicken

Fried Chicken 

We felt really intrigued with the caged chicken so we decided to give it a try. But it turned out pretty normal. Nonetheless it was good and crispy.

3. Napkin Jelly

I must say this is a really disturbing dish! The sanitary pad they used are real and not just for decoration purpose. Indeed some jam do get absorbed into the pad lollol. We tried it because it was the recommended dessert. aha!

 3. Brain Shock 

Its a tequila based alcohol served on top of this bloody face. We wanted to change the tequila to whiskey but it wasn't allowed. 

 4. Coconut Pine Boobs

The coconut pine juice is served in a milk bottle and whoever ordered it have to be fed by the nurse on shift.... which was what happened to my boyfriend. HAHA. She even said that the milk was from her boobs and kept calling Nic a good boi. 

It is exactly as dark as this gets when the show is about to begin. But I shall not spoil it for you guys if you are visiting - it basically are prisoners breaking loose from their cells. 

I also ordered a rainbow drink as well as a blood bag which I didn't manage to get a full picture of it. I would totally recommend anyone of you to visit the Alcatraz when you come to Tokyo. It is not an excellent place for dining/ having your dinner, but it served great drinks and we had fun. The highlight of the place was the staff. They were enthusiastic and had lots of energy when they were serving. Overall, we spent about 8000 yen (2000 cover charge for 4) for a total of 5 drinks and 2 dishes of food and 1 dessert which was okay I felt.

I can't wait to try more cafes in Tokyo. Let me know which Cafe I should visit next!
